Background

Peter is a consultant Clinical and Analytical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, specialising in Analytical Hypnotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Initially studying Hypnotherapy and Hypno-Analysis in 1996. Peter then went on to become certified through the UK’s Hypnotherapy Control Board, and later accepted an invitation to become a registered practicing member of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts (IAH). Peter was fortunate enough to receive personal tuition and coaching from Neil French, one of the world’s leading authorities on the application of Hypnotherapy and Hypno-Analysis.

For your peace of mind

Peter has been thoroughly screened, in accordance with all mental health professionals. These checks include the UK Protection of Children Act 1999 List (PoCAL) system for individuals working with children and other vulnerable groups.

As a requirement of his training, and as a necessary pre-condition for membership of the IAH, Peter has been through the process of Analytical therapy himself; this is your assurance that Peter also has a complete understanding of the therapy from the client’s perspective.

Insurances

Peter is covered by both Public liability and Professional Indemnity insurances, which are always available for inspection.

On-going professional development

Peter has committed himself to a base minimum of 24 hours of advanced training per year above the demands of his general practice.

Supervision

Peter receives regular supervision, and the International Association of Hypno-Analysts further provides an impressive resource of advice and knowledge within the psychotherapeutic world.

Facilities

Peter has access to an impressive array of audio processing equipment, e.g. headphones, microphones, mixers and music players and recorders, which enable Peter to ensure that you receive the very best Hypnotic experience and obtain the most out of this therapy.

The International Association of Hypno-Analysts

Peter is a member of the International Association of Hypno-Analysts, which is dedicated to the professional and ethical use of Hypnosis allied to the practice of Psychoanalysis, for the treatment of nervous disorders and emotional problems. The Association is a non-profit making organisation whose Members have followed a course of training in Psychotherapy, Analysis and Hypnosis which enables them to specialise in 'Hypno-Analytical' Therapy.

Members of the Association are bound by a Code of Practice and Ethics of the highest order: they have satisfied an Examination Board of their knowledge and level of competence and have undertaken to abide by the Rules of the Association which requires, among other things, that they be covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance and such Certificate of Insurance must be available for inspection.

Members have also agreed to discharge each and every client from treatment at the earliest possible moment consistent with that client's good care.
